The final day of the Australia v Wales World Cup in Cardiff was interrupted by a brawl at the final ball.
The game was played at Cardiff City Stadium and the match was restarted at 6.15pm local time.
The final ball hit the wall and hit one of the batsmen, who was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
The Australian team captain, Jason Gillespie, was involved in the incident, and is said to have been on the field in the aftermath of the incident.
“I don’t want to speak about the incident at this time,” Gillespie said after the game.
“There are a lot of things going on at the moment, and I would ask people to be patient and have a look at the situation and take it as it comes.”
The match was halted for the remainder of the day, before the Australian team returned to the field for the second day of play.
“It’s a tough day,” Australia coach John Bracewell said after training on Wednesday.
“We have a few things to deal with but that’s not the only thing that we’ve got to deal, there are a number of things that we’re dealing with as well.”
The last day of Australia v England will see them face the New Zealanders in Brisbane on Saturday.
